Machine Installation Guidelines

Traditional Coffee Machine

1) Single phase blue IEC 60309 16 Amp, 3 pin socket.

2) 13 amp socket for the coffee grinder, within 1 metre of the machine.

3) Dedicated 15mm cold water feed with 3/4" isolation valve within 1 metre of the machine.

4) Ensure that electrical and water supplies are operational.

5) 40mm trapped waste or provision of a waste container directly underneath the machine.

6) Completed worktop area with adequate space for the machine and grinder. Generally 900mm height for safe use of machine.

7) 80mmØ hole cut through worktop, for supply cables and hoses.

8) Sufficient space underneath for Brita Quell C500 water filter and filter head (must be upright).

                        600mm h x 160mm w

Extras:

  • If a water boiler is also being included then another 3/4" isolation valve is needed within 1 metre of the machine. It can run off of the same water supply that is feeding the coffee machine.

  • Extra electrical sockets for any additional equipment such as automatic tampers.

N.B. Always double check the dimensions of the machinery before completing works.

Automatic Bean to Cup Machine

1) 3 pin Type G 13 amp socket. A second socket is needed if a milk fridge is also to be installed.

2) If the machine is to be plumbed in, a dedicated 15mm cold water feed with 3/4" isolation valve within 1 metre of the machine.

3) Ensure that electrical and water supplies are operational.

4) 40mm trapped waste or provision of a waste container directly underneath the machine, unless the driptray is to be used and manually emptied.

5) Completed worktop area with adequate space above to allow for bean hoppers to be topped up. Generally a minimum of 100mm above the height dimension is enough.

6) 80mmØ hole at the back of the worktop, for supply cables and hoses.

7) If coffee grounds are to be emptied automatically into an under counter bin (model depending), then another 80mmØ hole is to be drilled directly under the coffee machines ground container.

8) Sufficient space underneath for Brita Quell C500 water filter and filter head (must be upright).

Extras:

  • If a water boiler is also being included then another 3/4" isolation valve is needed within 1 metre of the machine. It can run off of the same water supply that is feeding the coffee machine.

  • Extra electrical sockets for any additional equipment such as boilers.

  • On site Wi-Fi is preferred for all automatic machines to allow for IoT access. If the machines are rented, Wi-Fi is required. This allows for remote dial in, diagnostics and setting changes.

  • If Wi-Fi is not available for rental machines, a sim-card will be installed into the machine, €10 per month will be added onto rental payments.

N.B. Always double check the dimensions of the machinery before completing works.
